Past Work on Site

On April 11, 2013 a 4,000-gallon tanker being pulled with a bull dozer drove off the road and was damaged releasing approximately 2,750 gallons of diesel to the snow-covered ground. Initial response actions included removal of snow and vegetation, construction of an underflow dam to collect diesel from spring melt water, and subsequent soil removal. Sample analysis confirmed diesel range organics, gasoline range organics, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, 1-methylnaphthalene, 2-methylnaphthalene, and naphthalene remain in soil above DEC cleanup levels.
